They form a large synthetic aperture from multiple bursts. They estimate the ego motion from the measured target Doppler and the known radar orientation assuming that the ego vehicle is driving straight and use it for compensation similar to TDM. They don't say much about what happens when the target is moving. They don't say what happens when the ego motion is not a straight line, i.e. when the ego vehicle is turning.

It's straight forward in theory, but I don't think it will work well in most practical cases.
