A very well-written paper deriving the fundamental advantages and limitations of using side-looking and forward-looking SAR for automotive applications. The basics, benefits, and challenges are described in sufficient mathematical detail. The experiments are well-designed and provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate the expected performance.
